Diet and health care for hyperplastic scars

Caesarean birth is the choice of many modern women, but the biggest worry for mothers after childbirth is the surgical scars on their belly. In fact, as long as the scars are taken care of, these scars can be reduced and faded.

About 2 to 3 weeks after the surgical incision is scarred, the caesarean section scars start to proliferate. The proliferation period lasts for about 3 to 6 months. The fibrous tissue proliferation gradually stops, and the scars gradually become flat and soft, and the color is dark brown. .

At this time, the scar will be painful and itchy, especially the itch is the most obvious, especially when sweating a lot or the weather changes, I often feel itching and want to scratch the scar.

Therefore, pay special attention to care.

   1. The wound should be changed frequently to keep the wound and surrounding clean and dry.

   2. Protect the scab on the incision after the operation. Premature removal of the scab will take away the epidermal cells that are still in the repair stage, and even tear off the dermal tissue, stimulating the wound to appear itchy.

   3. It is best to take a side-lying slightly flexion position during rest to reduce abdominal wall tension.

   4. Under the guidance of a doctor, apply some external medicines, such as Facilitate, Triamcinolone, and Dexamethasone.

   5. Keep the scar area clean at any time, wipe off sweat in time, don't wash it with hot water.

   6. After removing the stitches, avoid strenuous exercise, excessive body extension or lateral bending.

   7. Improve your diet appropriately, eat more fruits, eggs, lean meat, skins and other foods rich in vitamin C, vitamin E, and amino acids. Avoid eating hot peppers, onions, garlic and other irritating foods.
